CIVIL PROCEDURE II
This is a compulsory Professional Year Course which is required under the MQA Circular No. 1/ 2015 for Law degree programme. It aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills in commencing civil proceedings in the civil courts in Malaysia.
INTRODUCTION TO OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH
This course will introduce students on legislation, guidelines, and essential knowledge on how to manage occupational safety and health at workplace. In this course, students will explore the safety and health issues of various types of work. Students will gain an understanding of the current state of occupational safety and health in Malaysia and globally including the enforcement of laws regulating occupational safety and health and the roles of workers, unions, and employers. The historical, economic, and cultural elements contributing to and inhibiting solutions to occupational safety and health problems will be discussed.
PRINCIPLES OF CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY
This course introduces students to the fundamental aspects of chemical process which plays important roles in the chemical technology curriculum. It prepares the students to formulate and solve material and energy balances on chemical process systems and lays foundation for subsequent courses in unit operations and reactor design. More fundamentally, it introduces the engineering approach to solving process-related problems.
This course is divided into four main parts which are engineering problem analysis, material balances, energy balances and case study. In the first part of this course, students will be introduced to the variety of research, design and production problems chemical technologists/engineers typically confront. In the rest of this course, students will be exposed to the structure of elementary process analysis such as definitions, measurement and calculation of process variables, conversion laws that govern the performance processes, and physical properties of process materials that must be determined in order to design a new process or analyze and improve an existing one.
COUNSELLING IN THE AL-QURAN AND AL-HADITH
The course aims at understanding and analysing counseling concepts based on verses from the al-Quran and Hadith. It will also examine the philosophy behind man’s existence, the ubudiyyah concept, and the objective of mankind. Study of the al-Quran towards mankind that consists of spiritual and physical elements and how man’s soul could be managed to release it from every issue or problem that arise that it needs guidance, advice, prevention and rehabilitation. Quranic verses relevant to counseling issues will be the main topics of discussion.
INTRODUCTION TO PSYCHOLOGY
Professional counselors need to have strong foundations in psychological knowledge to understand themselves and others. This course will introduce counselling students the psychological concepts and theories which is necessary to perform counselling role.
APPLICATION OF BRAILLE IN QURAN AND SUNAH STUDIES
This course focuses on various issues concerning the Islamic perspectives on persons with special needs, role of Asatizah and special education in Malaysia, history, structure, and methods of application of Braille in Quran and Sunnah Studies. Discussion on the concept of tactile writing system and its historical examples as well as various codes and structures of Braille and its transcription will be provided as a theoretical basis for understanding Braille. This will be followed by intensive practical application and transcription of Braille in Quran and Sunnah Studies, especially focusing on the format and structure of Braille Quran as practised in Malaysia.
APPLICATION OF SIGN LANGUAGE IN QURANIC TEACHING
Kursus ini memberi pendedahan kepada pelajar tentang kaedah berkomunikasi dengan orang pekak. Pelajar dijelaskan tentang persediaan menghadapi golongan pekak dengan mengetahui tahap dan jenis Kepekakan, Budaya, Komuniti, Norma Kehidupan orang Pekak. Selain itu berkaitan dengan isu yang dihadapi oleh golongan orang pekak dari sudut pendidikan agama dan cabarannya.
Penguasaan kemahiran bahasa isyarat membolehkan pelajar memberi tindak balas menggunakan bahasa isyarat dalam berkomunikasi kepada golongan pekak. Pelajar akhirnya boleh menggunakan berkemahiran bukan lisan dalam menyampaikan ilmu agama dan pendidikan al-Quran kepada golongan peka
PENGANTAR ILMU QIRAAT DAN HAFAZAN
Kursus ini menjelaskan latar belakang ilmu qiraat dan kaedah membaca al-Quran menurut imam-imam qiraat yang mutawatir di samping menghafaz surah pilihan iaitu surah al-Sajadah. Antara topik yang akan dibincangkan dalam kursus ini merangkumi isu-isu seperti pengertian al-Quran dan qiraat, jenis-jenis qiraat, perkembangan ilmu qiraat, latar belakang imam-imam qiraat berserta perawi mereka dan kaedah bacaan mereka yang diterapkan menerusi surah al-Sajadah.
SUNNAH, BID'AH DAN KHURAFAT
Kursus ini mendedahkan pelajar kepada tiga istilah penting iaitu sunnah, bidaan dan khurafat. Selain itu, kursus ini juga bertujuan untuk memberi kefahaman kepada pelajar tentang amalan-amalan yang dipraktikkan dalam kehidupan seharian. Hasilnya, pelajar akan berkemampuan untuk menyelesaikan masalah-masalah yang berkaitan dengan sunnah, bidaah dan khurafat.
